Our strategy:
Fundamental, value-focussed and activist investing in European capital markets. We pursue a concentrated investment strategy based on proprietary fundamental research. We engage actively with management teams, supervisory boards and other stakeholders to unlock value in our investments.
Who we’re looking for:
To strengthen our team, we are seeking an analyst-level intern in our Bratislava office for a period of at least 3 months with the possibility to extend the internship over a longer period and a rotation to our offices. A full-time offer may be made at the end of the internship.
Responsibilities include:
- Researching investment ideas including financial statement analysis, financial statement modelling, and company valuation
- Analysing industries and competitive positioning
- Supporting Petrus analysts in their research
- Pitching investment ideas to the Investment Committee
- Monitoring existing portfolio companies including interviewing management, research analysts, industry experts, competitors, and suppliers
- Support the team in preparing our investments’ reporting in coordination with our fund administrators and auditors
The ideal candidate is a team player who is enthusiastic about and interested in equity markets, finance and investing. Previous work experience in asset management, private equity, investment banking or investment research is a plus. The successful candidate will be part of a young, international and highly entrepreneurial team of investment professionals with experience from the largest global financial institutions.

Who we’re looking for:
You will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of financial operations and contribute to the success of our finance team. This internship is designed to provide exposure to a broad range of financial activities, including but not limited to:
Responsibilities include:
- Analysing financial data, preparing reports, and identifying trends to support informed decision-making.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with the finance team to participate in the budgeting and forecasting processes, helping to ensure accuracy and alignment with organisational goals.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Support the finance team in processing invoices, tracking payments, and managing receivables to maintain financial stability.
- Financial Reporting: Contribute to the preparation of financial statements, management reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Data Entry and Accuracy: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data by meticulously entering information into relevant systems and performing regular audits.
- Ad Hoc Projects: Assist with special projects as needed, providing support in various financial areas to meet the organisation’s evolving needs.
The ideal candidate will be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. They should have strong analytical and quantitative skills, with attention to detail. You will need proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant financial software and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and an eagerness to learn and take initiative in a dynamic work environment.
